Vol. 88, No. 51 September 24, 2010
THIS WEEK - September 28, 2010
There is no program planned for this meeting. It will be a Round Table beginning at noon and ending around 12:30 p.m. at the Perry Hotel. Secretary David Meyer has agreed to facilitate discussion. This will allow those attending to mark meeting attendance. This change is being made due to the Officer Installation Meeting scheduled to take place at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 29.
NEXT WEEK - Oct. 5, 2010
Our program chair for Oct. 5 is Brad Foster. He's invited Mark S. Gray, Chief Information Officer at Northern Michigan Regional Hospital. Gray will speak on "The Journey To Our Electronic Health Record" and how it affects health care for you and your family.
LAST WEEK
Jill Ryan was Program Chair for this meeting and invited Anne McDevitt to be our guest speaker. Anne spoke on her seven years of experience with the upcoming C. S. Lewis Festival and its role in promoting literacy in the community. David Jones introduced the program.
OFFICER INSTALLATION MEETING
The Installation of the Officers, Directors, and Committee Chairs
for the 2010-2011 Kiwanis Year will take place during this year's

The Kiwanis Club of Little Traverse Bay is handling the purchase of steak for the event. President elect Jim Ernst is planning to circulate a form for club members to sign up to bring rolls, salads and other side dishes at the Sept. 21 meeting. TRAVELOGUE
Almost 100 attendees braved the bad weather to travel to Cuba Thursday, Sept. 23 for the kickoff of the series! The presenter, Marlin Darrah just returned from Cuba back in June of this year. So his video and observations were very current. We had net ticket receipts of $655 including a few season ticket sales. Everyone really enjoyed the show.
